messthetics - the party

The idea of doing a post punk special had much to do with reading Simon Reynold's brilliant book "Rip it up and Start Again" (see "links"). The sheer amount of great bands that vanished from the world or simply don't fit into a usual "party concept" was only a too good occasion. Although at the regular Outsider-Party bands like Pere Ubu, Scritti Politti or Gang of Four are played, post punk remained a niche even at "alternative" goth nights. Since I don't intend to change the Outsider-Party's concept, I started "messthetics". true to the word "expect the unexpected", you can count on some surprises at this new event, which haven't been played for too long.
